Kerlon was a member of the Cruzeiro E.C. for a few years (2005-2008). Now he is playing for Chievo Verona from Italy.
Last season, Kerlon did not score in 26 matches but still wowed many fans with histrademark Seal Dribble. The Seal Dribble is a football tactic often practiced by players during training but not employed during actual matches. It is done by kicking the ball towards the head and dribbling the ball with the head. Kerlon is a master of this trick. He is able to dribble the ball while running and changing speeds and direction. Some fans have asked the legality of this move, as there seems to be no defense against the trick. Kerlon will move past opponents, dribbling the ball on his head like it were tied to his forehead. Opponents have resorted to fouling Kerlon but since Kerlon is also a good free-kicker, this type of offense still works to Cruzeiro’s advantage. The team that was reported to be interested in Kerlon and was willing to shell out big bucks is English team Manchester United. Both Manchester United and Kerlon have denied the rumors and Kerlon continue to play for Cruzeiro. Manchester United is a football club based at the Old Trafford Stadium in Greater Manchester. Kerlon is an amazing player who is often referred to as the next Ronaldinho. He was named the best player in the 222005 Venezuela U17 South American Youth Championship and continues to shine in his games. Ronaldinho is also Brazilian and Kerlon joins the long list of talented Brazilian footballers.
